It's been a while since I bought any new graphic book ,

the last one was 2 years ago :

and this time, I had a chance of buying 

another dream book of mine : UP,

I was searching for Tangled : Rapunzel but unfortunately

they didn't have any stock left for me :(

Because I can see the process.

Today I want to share with you about one of my dear inspiration :

Mr. Shaun Tan

The first graphic novel drawn & written by him that  I bought was :

| The Outer Suburbia |

I was a student back then and buying a novel graphic 

was like daily meals for a whole week.

So there I was in Gramedia alone (I went there solely for the book),

and I bought it right away after days of consideration since I first saw the book.

I usually have a thing on items that caught my eyes,

no matter how expensive, I'll work myself out.

Or it will dance in front of my eyes until 

I really own it.

This year, on my birthday, I received 

| The Arrival by Shaun Tan |

from a dear friend of mine. 

I know she worked hard to find the book.

With that, I thank her with all my heart  ♥

Do you remember your childhood dream?

Mine was to be an astronaut.

For years I worked on being one.

I studied well at school.

I collected all the articles on space & stuffs.

I secretly printed pictures and sticked in my space journal.

My mom met her siblings and told them about how

her daughter wanted to be an astronaut.

How cute.

But life isn't as simple as that.

Sometimes we just choose different way instead.
